The Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (TERMIS) World Conference was held in Seattle, WA, over June 25-28, 2024. The theme for the world congress was “Coming Together to Design Better Healthcare for All.”
The article is titled “Body mass index trajectories and biomarkers of cardiometabolic risk in children from low-income and racially and ethnically diverse households."
The course focused on the importance of sports within Kenyan culture, along with the long-term opportunities and empowerment that physical activity provides for youth.
The study examined depressive symptoms, heart rate variability and sleep quality in adolescents and young adults who had been adopted internationally from institutional care when they were infants and very young children. These data were compared to individuals born and raised in families of comparable education and incomes.
The chapter, titled "Metabolic Conditions," focuses on the relationship between metabolic conditions and aging, and describes the role of occupational therapists in addressing lifestyle factors that affect metabolic conditions in older adults.
