Lewis and former students publish in Women's Health
Study by School of Kinesiology researchers finds 12-week Zoom fitness program for premenopausal women boosts exercise habits.
A pilot study by the School of Kinesiology’s Beth Lewis, PhD, lecturer Katie Schuver, PhD, LADC, former students Kaitlyn Swinney, PhD, and Tyler Dregney, PhD, and Jennifer Linde, PhD (UMN School of Public Health), was published in Women’s Health. It found that a 12-week Zoom-based strength and cardio program for premenopausal women aged 40–50 was feasible and well-received, improving self-efficacy, habit formation, and enjoyment of exercise. The authors note that larger, longer trials are needed.
