Kihl publishes with former student on gender allyship in sport

Lisa A. Kihl, PhD, professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Global Institute for Responsible Sport Organizations (GIRSO), published an article In the Journal of Sport Management with former PhD student Caroline Heffernan, PhD (Temple University). Their article is titled "Tracing Gender Allyship and the Role of Awareness in Addressing the Gender Leadership Gap in Sport Organizations." This conceptualizes how awareness and related subcategories self-awareness, organizational awareness, and industry awareness, in facilitating gender allyship and creating social change. This work is from Heffernan's doctoral dissertation work.
