Kihl attends International Excellence in Anti-Corruption Awards Ceremony

Lisa A. Kihl, PhD, professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Global Institute for Responsible Sport Organizations (GIRSO), attended and participated in the 8th International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award Ceremony in San Juan, Costa Rica on November 19, 2024. The awards are organized by the Rule of Law and Anti-corruption Center in support of the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime. The award recognizes the the work of the world’s most inspiring and effective anti-corruption champions in five categories. Kihl is a former winner in the "safeguarding sports from corruption" category. At this year's ceremony, she spoke on a panel discussion about strategies to combat match-fixing.
