Tucker Center publishes in International Journal of Sport Science & Coaching

Nicole M. LaVoi, PhD, senior lecturer in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport, PhD student and Tucker Center research assistant Anna Goorevich, Courtney Boucher, PhD, and Centre for Appearance Research colleague Jekaterina Schneider, PhD, publish "Assessing gender essentialist beliefs towards youth athletes: Development and preliminary validation of the gender essentialist beliefs towards girls in sport scale (GEGS)" in the International Journal of Sport Science & Coaching. The research developed and validated the Gender Essentialist Beliefs Towards Girls in Sport Scale (GEGS) in order to assess gender biases among sport coaches.
