Efrat Abadi, PhD, a graduate of the School of Kinesiology, has published a manuscript, "Girls' preferences regarding coaches' democratic and autocratic leadership styles," in the International Journal of Sports Science & Coaching. The article is based on Abadi's research conducted while at the School of Kinesiology and examines the coaching style preferences of Israeli female athletes, contrasting democratic and autocratic approaches. Results showed girls often accepted autocratic behaviors despite some preferring the democratic style, underscoring the need for situational flexibility and culturally aware coaching.
