McSweeney advisees Guan and Obideyi lead final pitch day presentations to sport industry clients Minnesota United FC and the National Sports Center.
Sport management students in the Senior Seminar in Sport Management course (SMGT 3881), presented their final pitches to sport industry clients, Minnesota United FC and the National Sports Center, on December 8 at Allianz Field. Doctoral student Erjia (Lucy) Guan, the instructor for the course, and Babafemi Obideyi, PhD student and graduate teaching assistant—both advised by School of Kinesiology assistant professor Mitchell McSweeney, PhD—led the final pitch day where students presented solutions for real-world problems identified by clients. Students worked over the term to engage in research related to the real-world problem to construct strategies and ideas for clients to use moving forward.
