Dr. Pacheco is a postdoc in the Skeletal Muscle Plasticity and Regeneration Laboratory. Her research interests are in the fields of orthopedic regeneration and biomechanics. Broadly, she wants to develop therapeutics for musculoskeletal injury with the end goal of reducing the burden of disease by focusing on functional outcomes. Their current research focuses on using an orphan drug to regenerate healthy skeletal muscle in a volumetric muscle loss model. In their spare time they play soccer, read, and cook!
