LaVoi gives keynote at 2025 Special Olympics North America Conference

Nicole M. LaVoi, PhD, senior lecturer in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport, gave a general session keynote for the 2025 Special Olympics North America Conference "Voices of Victory" in Indianapolis, IN. Her keynote, titled "Getting and Keeping Girls and Women in Sport," helped kick start an organizational initiative. LaVoi also moderated a panel on the same topic. Coaching HER Program Director, Alicia Pelton, ran an action oriented session on implementing strategies for keeping girls and women in sport.
