Konczak gives invited seminar at the Italian Institute of Technology
The seminar translated basic research about medical technology, specifically with vibrotactile stimulation technology to treat spasmodic dystonia. Spasmodic dysphonia (SD) is a voice disorder that leads to strained or choked speech.

Jürgen Konczak, PhD, professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Human Sensorimotor Control Laboratory, visited the Istituto Italiano diTecnologia in Genoa, Italy and gave a seminar on translating basic research into medical technology. He spoke about his group's research on developing vibrotactile stimulation technology to treat dystonia.
