Bridget Sturch and Mackenzie Griffin, PhD Candidates in the School of Kinesiology and team members of the Sports Medicine Psychology Lab (SMPL), directed by Diane Wiese-Bjornstal, PhD, recently presented at the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC) 2024 Congress in Innsbruck, Austria. They presented data from Sturch's dissertation work on co-developing and implementing a mental skills and integrative health and healing program to address psychophysiological injury risk factors in athletes. Their poster presentation highlighted results from the first phase of the project focused on understanding biopsychosocial sport injury risk factors in competitive, collegiate cheer student-athletes.
