HSCL research receives recognition by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

At the 2024 meeting of the  American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a recent publication from the Human Sensorimotor Control Lab (HSCL) received the Jacob A Neufeld Best Paper Award Third Runner Up. The paper, titled “Ankle proprioception in children with cerebral palsy,” was published in the Journal of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. The research was a collaboration with Liz Boyer, PhD, and her team at the Center for Gait and Motion Analysis, Gillette Children’s in Saint Paul. The project documented that ankle position sense can be impaired in children with children with cerebral palsy.
