Greising and colleagues publish in AJP-Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology
Sarah Greising and colleagues have published an article on in vivo muscle strength in the American Journal of Physiology.
Sarah Greising, PhD, associate professor in the School of Kinesiology, and director, Skeletal Muscle Plasticity and Regeneration Laboratory (SMPRL), along with colleagues Jarrod Call, PhD (University of Georgia) and Cory Baumann, PhD (Ohio University), recently published in the American Journal of Physiology-Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology. The work, "In Vivo Muscle Strength- Perspectives on the Design and Interpretation of Preclinical Animal Studies," is a Cores of Reproducibility in Physiology (CORP) article and provides insight on the biomechanical assessment of muscle strength through the measurement of in vivo muscle torque. The paper discusses the underlying physiology of the in vivo method, highlights common outcomes and their physiological importance, and provides considerations for technical reproducibility and data interpretation.
