The blog post is titled “The Muscle-to-Bone Ratio in College Football Players-Part I.”
Don Dengel, PhD, professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Laboratory of Integrative Human Physiology (LIHP) is the author of a recent blog post titled “The Muscle-to-Bone Ratio in College Football Players-Part I.” Many collegiate and NFL football teams are examining the muscle-to-bone ratio (MBR) as a way to determine how much weight a player can maintain and perform at a high level. This blog explores research from Dengel’s laboratory that examined total as well as regional measures of MBR determined using dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) in NCAA Division I College Football players.
