Asante awarded ASNR Diversity Travel Fellowship

Doctoral candidate Desmond Asante has been awarded travel funding and annual conference registration from the American Society of Neurorehabilitation.

Desmond Asante, doctoral candidate in the School of Kinesiology and member of the NeuroRehabilitation Across the Lifespan Laboratory (NeuRAL), was awarded a 3-year Diversity Travel Fellowship from the American Society of Neurorehabilitation (ASNR). The award provides $1,000 per year in travel funds to attend the ASNR annual meeting, as well as complimentary registration. Diversity Fellows also participate in special society projects to become fully immersed in the society. Asante is advised by Rachel Hawe, PhD, assistant professor of biomechanics and neuromotor control.
