The School of Kinesiology awarded 10 students their kinesiology PhD degrees on Friday, May 10, 2024. The celebration was led by Diane Wiese-Bjornstal, PhD, Interim Director, and Daheia Barr-Anderson, PhD, Director of Graduate Studies. After receiving their academic regalia, the students’ advisors delivered kind remarks regarding each of their students’ academic journeys. Many advisors commented on their student’s ambition, commitment, and growth throughout their time at the School of Kinesiology.

Most of these graduates began their PhD program online during the COVID-19 pandemic, but remained undeterred as they delved into diverse fields of research, tackling complex challenges, and pushing the boundaries of kinesiology. We wish our 2024 graduates all the best as they continue to make a difference in the world.
