PhD student, Davis, honored with Breaking Barriers Award
Stephanie Davis, a PhD student in the School of Kinesiology co-advised by Vicki Schull, PhD, and Lisa Kihl, PhD, received the Breaking Barriers Award at the 2025 National Girls and Women in Sports Day - Minnesota Event held in St. Paul, MN. With a career rooted in college athletics, Davis has held roles as an equipment manager, operations and facilities coordinator, director of event management, and associate athletic director for event management. She has played a key role in executing numerous large-scale sporting events. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Davis is deeply involved in advancing equity and inclusion in athletics, contributing to organizations such as the Black Women of Gopher Athletics Group, the Black Student-Athlete Association, the BIPOC Affinity Group, and the Big Ten Equity Coalition.
