NeuRAL Lab publishes in Journal of Motor Behavior
Triet Lu, OTD, and colleagues at the SoK's NeuRAL Lab published on assessing the roles of vision and somatosensation in the Journal of Motor Behavior.
The NeuroRehabilitation Across the Lifepsan (NeuRAL) Lab has published an article in Journal of Motor Behavior entitled, "Modified Box and Block Test to Assess the Roles of Vision and Somatosensation." The paper, led by research assistant and recent graduate of the Doctorate in Occupational Therapy program, Triet Lu, examined how individuals can perform a clinical assessment when they are blindfolded in order to see their reliance on vision. They examined performance in young adults, older adults, and a pilot group of individuals with chronic stroke. The goal is to have a clinically feasible measure of how individuals use vision and somatosensation to perform reaching and grasping.
