Beth Lewis, PhD, professor in the School of Kinesiology and Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs, recently published an article titled "Physical activity interventions: an update on advancing sedentary time, technology, and dissemination and implementation research" in the Journal of Behavioral Medicine. This article reviewed sedentary time reduction interventions, technology-based physical activity interventions, and the dissemination and implementation of physical activity interventions since 2017. Lewis and colleagues found significant progress in the physical activity intervention field, however, these interventions need more work to be implemented into real world settings.
