Elbers and Antunovic present at CSCA conference
Alumna Jenna Elbers and Dr. Dunja Antunovic presented at the 2026 Central States Communication Association.
Jenna Elbers, School of Kinesiology alumna (B.S. Kinesiology '25; SPT, Division of Physical Therapy) presented her Honors thesis titled, "'Wouldn't want to be depicted at a weird angle': Sportswomen's Perceptions of Athletic Images" at the Central States Communication Association conference in Minneapolis held on April 14-19, 2026. Dunja Antunovic, PhD, associate professor of sport sociology in the School of Kinesiology and Elbers' advisor, served as a respondent for the session. Antunovic also presented a paper led by alumna Kim Soltis (B.S. Kinesiology '22; M.S., Sport Sociology '25) titled, "'Not there to parade around our sick kids': Nonprofits' Perspectives on Corporate Social Responsibility." The paper is based on Soltis's thesis. Mitch McSweeney, PhD, assistant professor of sport management, is coauthor on the paper.
