DWELL Lab attends the National Occupational Therapy Summit of Scholars

Current and former members of the DWELL Laboratory presented at the National Occupational Therapy Summit of Scholars in St. Louis, Missouri.

Current and former members of the School of Kinesiology's Disability and WELLness Laboratory (DWELL) traveled to the Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, to participate in the National Occupational Therapy Summit of Scholars. During this two-day conference:

  • Emily Kringle, PhD, OTR/L, assistant professor of physical activity and health promotion and Director of the DWELL Lab, presented an invited lightning round keynote talk, titled "Participation and Physical Activity After Stroke," and a Works-In-Progress session, titled "Bridging the Clinic-to-Community Gap: Co-Designing a Shared Decision Tool to Support Post-Stroke Community-Based Physical Activity Participation."
  • Emily Shalit (DWELL Lab PhD student) presented a poster, titled "Comparing Activity Engagement Among Stroke Survivors with High and Low Social Support: A Cross-Sectional Analysis."
  • Triet Lu (BS in Kinesiology alumni and currently a PhD in Rehabilitation Science student at the Minneapolis VA Hospital) received the 1st place student poster award for his poster, "Measuring Participation Restrictions in Veterans with Lower Limb Pain."
