Antunovic publishes in Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly
Dunja Antunovic and alumna Kim Soltis published "'It isn't 50/50, but it's way better than 2%': The shifting gatekeeping process in women's sports coverage" in Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly.
Dunja Antunovic, PhD, associate professor and Honors Program Coordinator in the School of Kinesiology, published an article titled "'It isn't 50/50, but it's way better than 2%': The shifting gatekeeping process in women's sports coverage" in Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly. The paper is based on interviews with sports journalists and examines facilitators and barriers to covering women's sports. The paper is co-authored with alumna Kim Soltis (M.S. in Sport Sociology; B.S. in Kinesiology). The project was supported by the Research & Innovation Office Grant-in-Aid program.
