School of Kinesiology celebrates retirement of two tenured faculty
The School of Kinesiology celebrated the retirements of two tenured faculty members on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Campus Club in Minneapolis. The faculty members retiring are Tom Stoffregen, PhD, and Li Li Ji, PhD.
Stoffregen received his PhD from Cornell University. During his tenure at the University of Minnesota, he was director of the Affordance Perception-Action Laboratory (APAL). Some of his research interests included perception and action, human factors, control of posture and orientation, and motion sickness.
Ji received his PhD from University of Wisconsin-Madison. At the University of Minnesota, he was the director of the Laboratory of Physiological Hygiene and Exercise Science. Ji's research interests included biochemical and molecular exercise physiology, nutrition, and aging.
Through their research, teaching, publications, and presentations, Stoffregen and Ji have made great contributions to the field of kinesiology. We thank them for their dedication to the School of Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota, and wish them the best during this next chapter in their lives.
