PhD student selected for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellowship
Desmond Asante, second year PhD student in the School of Kinesiology and NeuroRehabilitation Across the Lifespan (NeuRAL) Lab, directed by Rachel Hawe, PhD, was selected for the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellowship for 2025-2026. His project titled "Developing quantitative assessments of bimanual coordination in chronic stroke" will combine robotics, computer vision, and 3D motion capture to develop and validate new assessment tools. He will be working with the Center for Applied and Translational Sensory Science and mentored by Rachel Hawe, PhD, Stephen Guy, PhD, and Victoria Interrante, PhD.
