Pang receives NASSM doctoral research grant

Doctoral student Mingyang Pang received a 2026 NASSM Doctoral Research Grant.

Mingyang Pang, second-year doctoral student in sport management at the School of Kinesiology and a member of the Sport Marketing and Innovative Technology (SMIT) Laboratory directed by Bo Yu, PhD, assistant professor of sport management, has received a 2026 NASSM Doctoral Research Grant. His winning research proposal, entitled "Fan responses to AI service failures in sport: An integrated model," will explore forgiveness and post-trust among tennis fans following service failures by generative AI in sport content creation.
