Landy Lu, PhD, assistant professor in the School of Kinesiology, has published an article titled “Delivering Small-Scale Sport Events Within a Resource-Constrained Setting: The Bricolage Perspective” in the journal Event Management. The study explores how event organizers employ bricolage strategies to address resource limitations in organizing and delivering regional Senior Games. The authors conceptualize various types of bricolage strategies (e.g., human resource bricolage, financial bricolage) and detail how each is implemented through a set of specific, actionable sub-tactics. This research was supported by the University of Minnesota’s Grant-in-Aid program.
