Nicole M. LaVoi, PhD, senior lecturer in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport, was recently quoted for the Iowa Capital Dispatch. LaVoi discussed fandom around women's sports in the wake of this year's NCAA Women's Basketball championship. “[Brands] are starting to realize there’s money here and a return on their investment," she said.
