Kringle publishes in Disability and Health Journal
Dr. Emily Kringle published an article, "Promoting community and social participation in chronic stroke" in the Disability and Health Journal.
Emily Kringle, PhD, OTR/L, assistant professor in the School of Kinesiology and director of the Disability and WELLness Laboratory (DWELL), co-authored a manuscript titled "Promoting community and social participation in chronic stroke: A pilot study of the ENGAGE Intervention" in the Disability and Health Journal. This manuscript describes a multi-site pilot study of a group-based intervention that leverages social learning and strategy training to facilitate return to meaningful activity engagement after stroke. The lead investigators on this work include Elizabeth Skidmore, PhD, OTR/L (University of Pittsburgh), Carolyn Baum, PhD, OTR/L (Washington University in St. Louis) and Joy Hammel, PhD, OTR/L (University of Illinois Chicago).
