Geis and Thoeut present research at SURE
Blake Geis and Eaan Thoeut, undergraduate students in Kinesiology, presented at the Summer Undergraduate Research Expo.
Blake Geis and Eaan Thoeut, undergraduate students in the School of Kinesiology, presented their research projects at the University of Minnesota's Summer Undergraduate Research Expo (SURE) on August 6, 2026. Geis presented a poster titled "Redefining Snowboarding: Olympians' Social Media Use," a project funded by the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program. Thoeut presented a project titled "Still a 'low-rung beat assignment?': Media coverage of women's sports in California" as a part of the TRIO McNair Scholars Program. Both projects are advised by Dunja Antunovic, PhD, associate professor of sport sociology and director of the Media Analysis Research in International Sport (MARIS) group.
