Freeman awarded UMN UROP for Fall 2025

Carlee Freeman of the Skeletal Muscle Plasticity and Regeneration Laboratory has been awarded a 2025 UROP.

School of Kinesiology undergraduate student Carlee Freeman was awarded an Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) for Fall 2025. Carlee is currently a sophomore conducting research in the Skeletal Muscle Plasticity and Regeneration Laboratory (SMPRL) directed by Sarah M. Greising, PhD, associate professor in the School of Kinesiology. Carlee’s project, entitled “Pathological Fibrotic Impacts from Loss of Estrogen on VML Injury,” will evaluate sex-specific differences in skeletal muscle after injury.
