Dr. Lisa Kihl retires from the School of Kinesiology

Dr. Lisa Kihl retires from the School of Kinesiology.

Dr. Lisa A. Kihl retires as a full professor in the Sport Management program in the School of Kinesiology, where she also served as the Director of the Global Institute for Responsible Sport Organizations (GIRSO). A prominent leader in her field, she served as President of the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) in 2018 and 2019, and was inducted as a NASSM Research Fellow in 2022. Kihl's research investigated the intersection of ethics, governance, and policy, with a specific focus on corruption in sport, social responsibility, and athlete representation. She has published extensively on sport integrity systems and is the lead editor of the Routledge Handbook on Gender and Corruption. Additionally, Dr. Kihl works to address complex ethical issues within the industry as an affiliated scholar with the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport.
