Dengel is Co-PI on a new NIH funded grant

Donald R. Dengel, Ph.D., is Co-PI on a 2-year NIH-funded grant developing a computer model to improve management of ascending thoracic aortic aneurysm.

Donald R. Dengel, Ph.D., professor of kinesiology and director of the Laboratory of Integrative Human Physiology, is a Co-PI on a grant funded by the National Institutes of Health. This 2-year grant, entitled “Carotid Pulse Arrival Time as a Potential Biomarker for Ascending Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm: Proof-of-Concept Studies,” will focus on the development of a computer model of patients with ascending aortic disease. The results will be used for better management of the disease in the future.
