Hokeun Choi, master’s student in sport management, published an article titled "'Sometimes Your Presence Just Causes a Disturbance': Exclusion of Racially Minoritized Sports Medicine Practitioners in Elite Sport" in Oxford Intersections, which combines original research from multiple academic disciplines centered on a complex global topic to inform global policy and decision-making. The article is an invited paper and interrogates the lack of racial diversity in sports medicine through examining the factors racially minoritized sports medicine practitioners in elite sport perceive to be contributing to their continued exclusion. The article was published in collaboration with Dunja Antunovic, PhD, associate professor in the School of Kinesiology.
