Angela Bruzina, a PhD candidate in the School of Kinesiology and member of the Skeletal Muscle Plasticity and Regeneration Laboratory (SMPRL), directed by Sarah M. Greising, PhD, published an article “Accumulation of lipids after acute direct and indirect traumatic injuries in male and female mice” in BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders. Co-authors of the article include lab members and colleagues Braydon Crum, Christiana Raymond-Pope, PhD, Jarrod Call, PhD (University of Georgia), and Greising. The paper, part of Bruzina's dissertation project, sought to understand the early lipid and adipokine responses after various types of recoverable and non-recoverable traumatic injury.
