Antunovic presents at IACS in Dublin
Dr. Dunja Antunovic presented two papers and a report at the International Association for Communication and Sport (IACS) Summit held in Dublin, Ireland.
Dunja Antunovic, PhD, associate professor of sport sociology in the School of Kinesiology and director of Media Analysis Research in International Sport (MARIS), presented two papers at the International Association for Communication and Sport (IACS) Summit held in Dublin, Ireland, on March 12-14. The first paper is titled "'Thanks for the example you serve': The media production of disability sport in Brazil," led by Tatiana Paranhos Cerquirea de Macau, MEd student in Sport Management, and co-authored with Carolina Velloso, PhD, assistant professor at the Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The second presentation was based on a chapter titled "MediaSport in Hungary," co-authored with Tamas Doczi, PhD, at the Hungarian University of Sports Science. As an Executive Board member of IACS and an editorial board member for Communication & Sport, Antunovic also presented a report on professional development programming for graduate students and early-career scholars to both boards.
